Transfilters are designed to protect the consumer from industrial and atmospheric interference. They suppress information "noises" from computers distributed over the network, provide galvanic isolation and, together with varistor limiters, allow protecting the load from intentional exposure by special means to power supplies and (indirectly) to memory elements in order to disable them.
